Enjoy your stay and thanks a load for stopping by! updates: june 27th Welp, due to time constraints walking downtown's birthday is a tad belated : ) None the less, there is still a new one year layout up, I must thank I Heart Huckabees for giving me the inspiration from its visual awesomness. I had a different layout made for my one year but it turned out to be version sevens uglier twin so I made this one, which in fact is kind of a double ended knife, because it also filled my need for a summer layout..Which makes this layout a little skitzo because it can't decide wether to be Version: June Bug or Version: One Year. Oh well. Okay! Enough with the layout talk, I have some awesome presents to show off! My two favorite girls have made me one year gifts, and for that I love them forever! :P Not that I didn't before! So a HUGE thank you to Marilyne and Deavon! Look at all the Sophia goodness!  It gets bigger! From the rockstar Deavon:  art 10 new pieces of art today. To be honest, I haven't had much inspiration lately so I feel like alot of these pieces lack in creativity. I am though really happy with the OTH Naley Manip piece I did..It turned out exactly how I imagined, so I'm really pleased with it. Other then that, I feel like some are eye soars and others are missing something. Better luck next update I guess.

In other news, I'm glad to say I have some truly awesome and talented new affies to add today: Andy, Kari, and AnMarie. Lastly, I just want to say that it has been an amazing first year running this site, and I can honestly say a huge part of it was because of all the awesome people I've met in this community! Without you guys I would never have inspiration to keep this place going! I hope there are many more years to come for Walking Downtown. updates: june 9th Man, there is nothing better than summer.. I feel like I have all the time in the world, and because of all this awesome freetime, I have a BIG art update today and a little media one too. Me and Deavon started an art battle for fun, and since her being the Supernatural obsessed girl that she is, the theme turned out to be none other then..You guessed it, Supernatural. But this is a good thing, because I ALWAYS tell myself that I'm going to start arting the show and I never do, so this got me to pull through and finally do it. Thanks for initiating the end of my my procrastination Deav : P art 19 new wallpapers today. Seven Supernatural, three O.C., seven One Tree Hill, one celebrity, and one Popular piece. I'm not going to talk about any of the pieces but I'm happy with most of them. Some were a hit and miss, so eventually I might go back and tweak a few later on. media Well, I thought I was going to have a bigger batch of scans but my scanner started to crap out on me again. It's a fossil, I'm not even kidding. So I have only 9 new scans to add today. The next time you see me will probably be in a about a week or a little more, and I'll most likely have a new face for the site up for it's one year ; ) updates: may 28th Back again! And pretty soon if you ask me. I'm hoping updates like these will be a regular kind of thing since summer is just around the corner. I have some new art today, a few of them were actually really old .psd files I found on my hard drive of wallpapers I never finished or that I just gave up on. So I decided I would give those ones another shot and I updated them a little. The other ones are mostly OTH episodic ones from season five. There's been a lot of scenes that I just love this season. art I'm only going to write a little something about a couple of the new pieces. It's really late and I'm planning on hitting the sack soon. Last Breath - This scene was really just heart breaking and I've been wanting to make a piece from it ever since I saw the episode. I wish the emotion came across a little better but for the most part I'm content with it. Just a Dream - I just had to make a wallpaper for this scene. The bars over Peyton's face in one of the caps and also over Lucas's in another cap are suppose to represent the fact they can't be with each other because of the lack of healing Lucas has had. I'm happy how the caged feel to it came out. To Love Her - This was one of the old .psd files that I updated and finished. It's from the movie Notting Hill. Pretty simple but I think it didn't really need anything else. Slip Away - Another one of the updated old .psd files. This one is a little all over the place. I wanted a lot going on in the piece to give it a hectic feel to show the emotion Lucas was going through when he missed the shot. I like the yellows in the piece and how the cap placement turned out. media Just three new textures to add today. I'm going to have some new scans to add pretty soon and I just want to get a decent sized batch together first. That's a rap. I have so many ideas for wallpapers running through my head, so I'll probably be back with some new art before you know it ; ) |
